    Dog obsessed, newbie runner

There have been dogs in Flo's life since she was small. Family dogs, friends' dogs, other people's dogs she stops to talk to in the street. She lives in New York now and doesn't have one of her own, which is more about timing than anything else.

When she does, it'll be a rescue.

    What she keeps tapping

Three causes, none picked from a list

    Animals

Mostly shelters and rescues - the vet bills and the kennel nights, not the puppy photos.

    Women & children

Shelters, outreach, and services for families. A natural extension of the women in her life.

    Mental health

Running helped her head. Giving to mental health causes was a small way to pass that forward.

Women and children came next, and have been there from the start. She has a sister, who she has grown to love ;) and is close with her mum. She's a girl's girl really.

Mental health as well. Flo took up running not long ago and has done a few half marathons with her husband since. It helps her head, and having felt that, giving to mental health causes made sense.

It's such a simple thing and it makes such a difference. I want other people to have whatever works for them.

I didn't sit down and pick three causes. I noticed after a while that's what I kept tapping.

    How it fits

Thirty seconds while the coffee brews

She picks one while the coffee brews, puts the phone down, and gets on with the day. Sometimes it's the news that triggers her to donate. Sometimes it's the notification she gets. But slowly she is building the habit, with a 25-day streak ongoing.

It's a small positive moment in my day where I feel I can do something good, with not much effort.
    - Flo

Once a week she reads her impact page properly. Not to add it up, more to see where things landed, and then she'll steer the next week somewhere else if it's been all dogs for a while.

She doesn't beat herself up if she misses a day. A dollar a day is $365 a year spread across twelve months, and a few missed mornings barely touch it.

When I do, I do feel a little pang of relief and positivity.

    Small, done often, adds up.

    Thanks for showing up, Flo.
