How We Use Tracking Technologies in the App
The Ritmo mobile app does not use browser cookies. Instead, it uses mobile SDKs, device identifiers, and similar technologies to provide and improve the app experience, understand usage, attribute app installs, and communicate with users.
The following technologies are used in the Ritmo app:
| Technology | Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| PostHog SDK | PostHog, Inc. | Product analytics - tracks app events, screens viewed, feature interactions, session data, and A/B testing |
| RudderStack SDK | RudderStack, Inc. | Customer data infrastructure - collects, routes, and delivers event data to downstream analytics and engagement tools |
| Adjust SDK | Adjust GmbH | Mobile install attribution, campaign measurement, and fraud prevention |
| Customer.io SDK | Peaberry Software, Inc. | In-app messaging, push notifications, lifecycle messaging, and email engagement |
| Clerk SDK | Clerk, Inc. | User authentication, account creation, session management, and security |
| Railway | Railway Corporation | Cloud hosting, compute, storage, and network infrastructure |
| Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) | Apple Inc. | Delivering push notifications to iOS devices |
| Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) | Google LLC | Delivering push notifications to Android devices |
Device identifiers and advertising IDs. The app may access device-level identifiers, including the Apple Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) on iOS and the Google Advertising ID (GAID) on Android. These identifiers are used for attribution and analytics. On iOS, we will request your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt before accessing the IDFA. On Android, you can reset or opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings.
Your Choices
4.1 Cookie Consent on the Website
When you first visit our Website, a cookie consent banner will be displayed via CookieYes, our consent management platform. You can choose to accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or customize your preferences by category. Your preferences are saved and can be changed at any time by clicking the cookie settings link in the footer of the Website.
If you reject non-essential cookies, only strictly necessary cookies will be set. The Website will continue to function, but some analytics features will be disabled.
4.2 Browser Settings
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically set your browser to block all cookies, block only third-party cookies, or delete cookies when you close the browser. Note that blocking all cookies may affect the functionality of some websites. Instructions for managing cookies in common browsers are available at:
- Chrome: support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647
- Safari: support.apple.com/guide/safari/manage-cookies
- Firefox: support.mozilla.org
- Edge: support.microsoft.com
4.3 Mobile App Tracking Controls
In the Ritmo app, you can manage tracking through your device settings:
- On iOS, you can control app tracking through Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. If you decline the App Tracking Transparency prompt, the app will not access your IDFA for advertising or attribution purposes.
- On Android, you can opt out of personalized advertising through Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization, or reset your advertising ID.
Some analytics technologies in the app (such as crash reporting and basic usage analytics) are necessary for the app to function properly and cannot be fully disabled through these controls.
4.4 Opt-Out Tools for Specific Providers
You can opt out of certain third-party tracking using the following tools:
- Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
- Digital Advertising Alliance (US): optout.aboutads.info
- European Digital Advertising Alliance: youronlinechoices.eu
- Network Advertising Initiative: optout.networkadvertising.org
Third-Party Cookies and Data Sharing
Some cookies on the Website are set by third parties, not by Ritmo. When you consent to non-essential cookies, these third parties may collect information about your browsing behavior on the Website and may combine it with information from other websites and services to build a profile of your interests.
Ritmo does not control how these third parties process your data once it has been collected through their cookies. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these third parties:

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers transmit a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal to websites. There is currently no industry standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals. Our Website does not currently respond to DNT signals, but we honor the cookie preferences you set through our consent management tool.
We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a valid opt-out request under applicable law, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). If we detect a GPC signal from your browser, we will treat it as a request to opt out of non-essential cookies and any sale or sharing of personal information, to the extent applicable.
Updates to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use, the purposes for which we use them, or applicable law. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and may provide additional notice through the Website.
We recommend reviewing this Cookie Policy periodically.
